Automated summary

Automated memory management middleware that performs a Retrieve-Respond-Save cycle to maintain long-term context.

Strengths

  • Automatically retrieves relevant context before answering, reducing repetition.
  • Saves important information without requiring explicit user commands.
  • Enhances conversational continuity and personalized responses.
  • Operates silently in the background, minimizing user friction.

Limitations

  • Requires an MCP server with the appropriate tools configured.
  • May store irrelevant information if the filtering logic is not precise.
  • Cannot access memories from outside the current user session or across different instances.
When to use it

Use this skill when you need a persistent memory system that automatically recalls and stores context in an AI assistant.

When not to use it

Do not use this skill when memory operations must be fully user-controlled or when privacy requires explicit consent for each memory save.

Security analysis

Safe
Quality score92/100

The skill only uses safe memory management tools (retrieve_memory, add_memory, get_user_profile) with no filesystem access, network calls, or command execution. It does not expose sensitive data or instruct dangerous actions.

license: MIT compatibility: opencode metadata: role: memory-agent framework: memcontext mcp_tools: retrieve_memory, add_memory, get_user_profile

What I do (能力描述)

Tools Required (依赖工具)

  • retrieve_memory: 用于检索上下文。
  • add_memory: 用于保存新知识。
  • get_user_profile: 用于获取用户画像。

Workflow SOP (工作流标准)

Step 1: Context Retrieval (自动检索)

如果涉及过去的对话、项目、偏好或特定实体(人名、地名、技术名词),必须立即调用 retrieve_memory 或 get_user_profile。

Step 2: Response Generation (生成回答)

Step 3: Memory Storage (自动存储)

    • 参数 user_input: 用户的原始话语。
    • 参数 assistant_response: (可选) 你的总结或确认。

1. Download the file

Download SKILL.md

From the root of a test project, save the file as .skill-downloads/memory-autopilot-agent-mm78nnse/SKILL.md, or use the command below. This folder is for inspecting the skill before installation.

Command for macOS/Linux or WSL: requires a POSIX shell and curl. On Windows without WSL, use the download button and create the folder manually.

mkdir -p '.skill-downloads/memory-autopilot-agent-mm78nnse' && curl --fail --show-error --location 'https://skills-guides.com/api/skills/memory-autopilot-agent-mm78nnse/download' --output '.skill-downloads/memory-autopilot-agent-mm78nnse/SKILL.md.part' && mv '.skill-downloads/memory-autopilot-agent-mm78nnse/SKILL.md.part' '.skill-downloads/memory-autopilot-agent-mm78nnse/SKILL.md'

2. Check prerequisites

Read SKILL.md before using it. If it references scripts or external services, inspect them and prepare the required access in your test environment.

Environment declared by the author: opencode

No recognized prerequisites section in this file. This does not mean it is self-contained: libraries, tools and access requirements may be mentioned elsewhere in the content or source repository.

The platforms on this page are catalog indications. The paths below follow tool documentation; they do not prove this skill has been run in those tools. No minimum tool version is confirmed for this listing.

3. Load the skill

After inspection, copy the complete folder into your project using one of the commands below, then open a new tool session. The command stops if a folder with the same name already exists: compare the files before replacing it.

test -f '.skill-downloads/memory-autopilot-agent-mm78nnse/SKILL.md' && test -s '.skill-downloads/memory-autopilot-agent-mm78nnse/SKILL.md' && mkdir -p '.claude/skills' && test ! -e '.claude/skills/memcontext-autopilot' && cp -R '.skill-downloads/memory-autopilot-agent-mm78nnse' '.claude/skills/memcontext-autopilot'

OpenSkills

OpenSkills must already be installed. The local install/read procedure is checked with OpenSkills 1.5.0, which requires Node.js ≥ 20.6.0. Catalog slugs are not resolved automatically.

Official OpenSkills installation
openskills install './.skill-downloads/memory-autopilot-agent-mm78nnse'

openskills read 'memory-autopilot-agent-mm78nnse'

Reading should display the installed file content and its base directory. It does not run the skill or install its dependencies.

For an agent that reads AGENTS.md, then sync the index. This command changes AGENTS.md: review the diff before using it.

openskills sync

Manual method or another tool: attach SKILL.md to a conversation, or open it in an agent that can read files. Include any required supporting resources. No universal folder is recognized by every tool.

4. Try a first task

Use a short, synthetic input: an API endpoint, a small document or an interface brief. In a new conversation, attach the file or give the agent its path, then adapt this request:

Read .skill-downloads/memory-autopilot-agent-mm78nnse/SKILL.md and apply its instructions to this example: [describe a test input]. Identify any missing files, dependencies or access. Produce the result requested by the skill without inventing data or running unreviewed scripts.

Expected result: output matching the skill instructions, or a precise list of missing prerequisites. A read confirmation alone does not validate a first use. If an external resource is unavailable, that path remains untested.
