Automated summary

Runs parallel code reviews from external agents (Codex and Gemini), critically verifies each suggestion by debating the agent, and returns filtered, deduplicated improvements.

Strengths

  • Runs both agents in parallel and processes results as they arrive instead of waiting for the slowest
  • Critical verification and back-and-forth debate with the agent to discard unfounded suggestions
  • Aggregated suggestions carrying confidence score, impact percentage, and affected area
  • Supports both Linear and file-based task providers to resolve the story and its completed tasks

Limitations

  • Built as a worker for the ln-510 pipeline and assumes code quality and tech debt phases already ran
  • Relies on many shared reference files and prompt templates that must exist at the skills repo root
  • Requires Codex and Gemini agents to be installed and healthy, since it performs a health check first
When to use it

Use it when every implementation task of a story is Done and you want an independent second opinion from multiple external agents before closing.

When not to use it

Avoid it for a quick single-file review, or when the Codex and Gemini agents are not configured in the environment.

Security analysis

Caution
Quality score82/100

The skill coordinates external AI agent reviews on code, which involves transmitting potentially sensitive code to third-party services. It does not contain destructive or obfuscated instructions, but the external delegation and lack of data handling safeguards warrant caution.

Findings
  • •Instructs sending code changes to external AI services (Codex, Gemini) for review, which may exfiltrate proprietary source code to third parties without explicit user consent or data handling controls.
  • •Delegates to external agents that may execute code or run commands, increasing supply-chain risk.
How this analysis is made

Examples

Review a story via Linear
Run ln-513-agent-reviewer on story ABC-123 and return the verified suggestions from Codex and Gemini.
Review from feature branch
The current branch is feature/482-checkout-flow — run the agent reviewer on it and give me the filtered verdict.
List pending review stories
Use the agent reviewer to find stories in In Progress or To Review and start a parallel Codex + Gemini review.

Agent Reviewer (Code)

Runs parallel external agent reviews on code implementation, critically verifies suggestions, returns filtered improvements.

Purpose & Scope

  • Worker in ln-510 quality coordinator pipeline (invoked by ln-510 Phase 4)
  • Run codex-review + gemini-review as background tasks in parallel
  • Process results as they arrive (first-finished agent processed immediately)
  • Critically verify each suggestion; debate with agent if Claude disagrees
  • Return filtered, deduplicated, verified suggestions with confidence scoring
  • Health check + prompt execution in single invocation

When to Use

  • Invoked by ln-510-quality-coordinator Phase 4 (Agent Review)
  • All implementation tasks in Story status = Done
  • Code quality (ln-511) and tech debt cleanup (ln-512) already completed

Parameters

| Parameter | Value | |-----------|-------| | review_type | codereview | | skill_group | 513 | | prompt_template | shared/agents/prompt_templates/code_review.md | | verdict_acceptable | CODE_ACCEPTABLE |

Inputs

| Input | Required | Source | Description | |-------|----------|--------|-------------| | storyId | Yes | args, git branch, kanban, user | Story to process |

Resolution: Story Resolution Chain. Status filter: In Progress, To Review

Workflow

MANDATORY READ: Load shared/references/input_resolution_pattern.md, shared/references/tools_config_guide.md, shared/references/storage_mode_detection.md, shared/references/agent_review_workflow.md, and shared/references/agent_delegation_pattern.md.

Phase 0: Resolve Inputs & Tools Config

  1. Resolve storyId (per input_resolution_pattern.md):

    • IF args provided → use args
    • ELSE IF git branch matches feature/{id}-* → extract id
    • ELSE IF kanban has exactly 1 Story in [In Progress, To Review] → suggest
    • ELSE → AskUserQuestion: show Stories from kanban filtered by [In Progress, To Review]
  2. Extract: task_provider from docs/tools_config.md (per tools_config_guide.md).

Unique Steps (before shared workflow)

  1. Health check: per shared workflow, filter by skill_group = 513.

  2. Get references:

    • IF task_provider = linear: get_issue(storyId) → extract URL + identifier. list_issues(filter: {parent: {id: storyId}, status: "Done"}) → extract Done implementation Task URLs/identifiers (exclude label "tests").
    • IF task_provider = file: Read story.md → extract path. Glob("docs/tasks/epics/*/stories/*/tasks/*.md") → filter Done tasks (check **Status:** Done), exclude label "tests".
  3. Ensure .agent-review/: per shared workflow.

  4. Build prompt: Read template shared/agents/prompt_templates/code_review.md.

    • Replace {story_ref} with - Linear: {url} or - File: {path}
    • Replace {task_refs} with bullet list: - {identifier}: {url_or_path} per task
    • Save to .agent-review/{identifier}_codereview_prompt.md (single shared file -- both agents read the same prompt)

Shared Workflow Steps

5-8) Load Review Memory, Run agents, Critical Verification + Debate, Aggregate + Return: per shared workflow.

  • {review_type} = "Code Implementation" (for challenge template)
  1. Save Review Summary: per shared workflow "Step: Save Review Summary".

Output Format

verdict: CODE_ACCEPTABLE | SUGGESTIONS | SKIPPED
suggestions:
  - area: "security | performance | architecture | correctness | best_practices"
    issue: "What is wrong"
    suggestion: "Specific fix"
    confidence: 95
    impact_percent: 15
    source: "codex-review"
    resolution: "accepted | accepted_after_debate | accepted_after_followup | rejected"

Agent stats and debate log per shared workflow output schema.

Fallback Rules

Per shared workflow, plus:

| Condition | Action | |-----------|--------| | Parent skill (ln-510) | Falls back to Self-Review (native Claude) |

Verdict Escalation

  • Findings with area=security or area=correctness -> parent skill can escalate PASS -> CONCERNS
  • This skill returns raw verified suggestions; escalation decision is made by ln-510

Critical Rules (additional)

  • MANDATORY INVOCATION: Parent skills MUST invoke this skill. Returns SKIPPED gracefully if agents unavailable. Parent must NOT pre-check and skip.

From the file to a first result

The download contains exactly the content displayed on this page. This copy may differ from the latest version in the source repository.

View the source and supporting files

This download contains SKILL.md only. Any scripts, references, templates and dependencies are not included. Get the required files from the source, preserving their directory structure, before continuing.

1. Download the file

Download SKILL.md

From the root of a test project, save the file as .skill-downloads/parallel-agent-code-review-mts7ikh6/SKILL.md, or use the command below. This folder is for inspecting the skill before installation.

Command for macOS/Linux or WSL: requires a POSIX shell and curl. On Windows without WSL, use the download button and create the folder manually.

mkdir -p '.skill-downloads/parallel-agent-code-review-mts7ikh6' && curl --fail --show-error --location 'https://skills-guides.com/api/skills/parallel-agent-code-review-mts7ikh6/download' --output '.skill-downloads/parallel-agent-code-review-mts7ikh6/SKILL.md.part' && mv '.skill-downloads/parallel-agent-code-review-mts7ikh6/SKILL.md.part' '.skill-downloads/parallel-agent-code-review-mts7ikh6/SKILL.md'

2. Check prerequisites

Read SKILL.md before using it. If it references scripts or external services, inspect them and prepare the required access in your test environment.

No recognized prerequisites section in this file. This does not mean it is self-contained: libraries, tools and access requirements may be mentioned elsewhere in the content or source repository.

The platforms on this page are catalog indications. The paths below follow tool documentation; they do not prove this skill has been run in those tools. No minimum tool version is confirmed for this listing.

3. Load the skill

After inspection, copy the complete folder into your project using one of the commands below, then open a new tool session. The command stops if a folder with the same name already exists: compare the files before replacing it.

Claude Code
test -f '.skill-downloads/parallel-agent-code-review-mts7ikh6/SKILL.md' && test -s '.skill-downloads/parallel-agent-code-review-mts7ikh6/SKILL.md' && mkdir -p '.claude/skills' && test ! -e '.claude/skills/ln-513-agent-reviewer' && cp -R '.skill-downloads/parallel-agent-code-review-mts7ikh6' '.claude/skills/ln-513-agent-reviewer'

OpenSkills

OpenSkills must already be installed. The local install/read procedure is checked with OpenSkills 1.5.0, which requires Node.js ≥ 20.6.0. Catalog slugs are not resolved automatically.

Official OpenSkills installation
openskills install './.skill-downloads/parallel-agent-code-review-mts7ikh6'

openskills read 'parallel-agent-code-review-mts7ikh6'

Reading should display the installed file content and its base directory. It does not run the skill or install its dependencies.

For an agent that reads AGENTS.md, then sync the index. This command changes AGENTS.md: review the diff before using it.

openskills sync

Manual method or another tool: attach SKILL.md to a conversation, or open it in an agent that can read files. Include any required supporting resources. No universal folder is recognized by every tool.

4. Try a first task

Use a short, synthetic input: an API endpoint, a small document or an interface brief. In a new conversation, attach the file or give the agent its path, then adapt this request:

Read .skill-downloads/parallel-agent-code-review-mts7ikh6/SKILL.md and apply its instructions to this example: [describe a test input]. Identify any missing files, dependencies or access. Produce the result requested by the skill without inventing data or running unreviewed scripts.

Expected result: output matching the skill instructions, or a precise list of missing prerequisites. A read confirmation alone does not validate a first use. If an external resource is unavailable, that path remains untested.
