Automated summary
Shows or refreshes the Repo Passport and repository context by wrapping the passport, context, overview and doctor subcommands of the lstack brain CLI.
Strengths
- Deliberately thin wrapper: all logic stays in the CLI, which is treated as the source of truth
- Explicit subcommands (show, refresh, context, overview, json, doctor) with a fallback when --for claude is unsupported
- Human-readable output by default, without dumping raw JSON unless /passport json is used
- Reports doctor pass/warn/fail results honestly without suppressing warnings
Limitations
- Requires the lstack brain CLI to be installed and configured; without it the command fails
- Adds no analysis of its own, only surfaces CLI output
- Only available as a slash command inside Claude Code
Use it when you need repo facts or a compact context quickly before asking Claude to work on a project that already runs lstack brain.
Avoid it if the lstack brain CLI is not installed in the environment, or if you expect the skill itself to analyze the repository.
Security analysis
CautionThe skill is a thin, transparent wrapper that shells out to `lstack brain` subcommands. There is no obfuscation, no destructive command, no credential/token transmission, and it explicitly forbids recursive AI invocation and storing data in markdown. The residual risk is ordinary: it runs a third-party binary from PATH and one subcommand mutates state, so it belongs in 'caution' rather than 'safe', but nothing warrants 'risky'.
- •Executes an external, unpinned CLI (`lstack`) resolved from PATH for every subcommand; trust depends entirely on that binary, and a shadowed/hijacked `lstack` on PATH would run arbitrary code.
- •`/passport refresh` triggers a mutating command (`lstack brain passport refresh`) that writes/updates repo passport state, though the skill never documents what is written or where.
- •No output redirection, network exfiltration, curl|sh, or secret handling present, but the skill has no allowlist/verification of what the wrapped CLI does with repo data.
Examples
/passport — show me the compact Repo Passport facts for this repository./passport refresh — refresh the passport and then display the updated facts for Claude./passport doctor — run the brain diagnostics and report every pass, warning and failure as-is.name: passport description: Show or refresh Repo Passport and context — wraps lstack brain passport/context/overview CLI allowed-tools: Bash disable-model-invocation: false
Passport — Repo Passport and context
Activation
Invoked via /passport. Wraps lstack brain passport, context, overview, and doctor CLI.
The CLI is the source of truth. Never reimplement context selection here.
Supported forms
/passport
/passport show
/passport refresh
/passport context
/passport overview
/passport doctor
/passport json
Behavior by subcommand
/passport or /passport show
Show compact Repo Passport facts for Claude:
lstack brain passport --for claude
If --for claude is unsupported by the installed CLI, fall back to:
lstack brain passport
Do not dump raw JSON by default. Show human-readable output.
/passport refresh
Refresh the passport then display it:
lstack brain passport refresh
lstack brain passport --for claude
Fall back to lstack brain passport if --for claude is unsupported.
/passport context
Export compact context via Context Governor:
lstack brain context --for claude
Do not reimplement context selection. Let the CLI decide what is relevant.
/passport overview
Show Brain overview:
lstack brain overview
/passport json
Show Brain overview as JSON (stable data API):
lstack brain overview --json
Display the raw JSON output. Do not parse or reformat it.
/passport doctor
Run diagnostics:
lstack brain doctor
Report pass/warn/fail output honestly. Do not suppress warnings.
Constraints
- Never reimplement context selection or passport logic in this skill.
- Never invoke Claude recursively or spawn subprocesses via AI CLI flags.
- Never store passport data in markdown files.
- The CLI is the source of truth for all repo facts.
- If a command fails, show the error and tell the user what to run manually.

1. Download the file
Download SKILL.mdFrom the root of a test project, save the file as .skill-downloads/passport-repo-passport-and-context-mrzxuprb/SKILL.md, or use the command below. This folder is for inspecting the skill before installation.
Command for macOS/Linux or WSL: requires a POSIX shell and curl. On Windows without WSL, use the download button and create the folder manually.
mkdir -p '.skill-downloads/passport-repo-passport-and-context-mrzxuprb' && curl --fail --show-error --location 'https://skills-guides.com/api/skills/passport-repo-passport-and-context-mrzxuprb/download' --output '.skill-downloads/passport-repo-passport-and-context-mrzxuprb/SKILL.md.part' && mv '.skill-downloads/passport-repo-passport-and-context-mrzxuprb/SKILL.md.part' '.skill-downloads/passport-repo-passport-and-context-mrzxuprb/SKILL.md'2. Check prerequisites
Read SKILL.md before using it. If it references scripts or external services, inspect them and prepare the required access in your test environment.
Tools declared by the author (check availability in your agent): Bash
No recognized prerequisites section in this file. This does not mean it is self-contained: libraries, tools and access requirements may be mentioned elsewhere in the content or source repository.
The platforms on this page are catalog indications. The paths below follow tool documentation; they do not prove this skill has been run in those tools. No minimum tool version is confirmed for this listing.
3. Load the skill
After inspection, copy the complete folder into your project using one of the commands below, then open a new tool session. The command stops if a folder with the same name already exists: compare the files before replacing it.

OpenSkills must already be installed. The local install/read procedure is checked with OpenSkills 1.5.0, which requires Node.js ≥ 20.6.0. Catalog slugs are not resolved automatically.
Official OpenSkills installationopenskills install './.skill-downloads/passport-repo-passport-and-context-mrzxuprb'openskills read 'passport-repo-passport-and-context-mrzxuprb'Reading should display the installed file content and its base directory. It does not run the skill or install its dependencies.
For an agent that reads AGENTS.md, then sync the index. This command changes AGENTS.md: review the diff before using it.
openskills syncManual method or another tool: attach SKILL.md to a conversation, or open it in an agent that can read files. Include any required supporting resources. No universal folder is recognized by every tool.
4. Try a first task
Use a short, synthetic input: an API endpoint, a small document or an interface brief. In a new conversation, attach the file or give the agent its path, then adapt this request:
Read .skill-downloads/passport-repo-passport-and-context-mrzxuprb/SKILL.md and apply its instructions to this example: [describe a test input]. Identify any missing files, dependencies or access. Produce the result requested by the skill without inventing data or running unreviewed scripts.Expected result: output matching the skill instructions, or a precise list of missing prerequisites. A read confirmation alone does not validate a first use. If an external resource is unavailable, that path remains untested.
