Recommended for

Automated summary

An interactive assistant that walks through creating a Claude Code skill or reviewing an existing one, from use-case definition to final validation.

Strengths

  • Five-step sequenced workflow that asks for user confirmation before moving to the next step
  • Precise frontmatter rules: kebab-case name, description covering WHAT and WHEN, 1024-character limit, no XML tags
  • A dedicated review mode that audits an existing skill's frontmatter, instructions and structure before proposing fixes
  • Final validation checklist plus suggested trigger test cases (phrases that should and should not activate the skill)

Limitations

  • Instructions and the guide-summary.md reference are written in Japanese, which may hinder French or English speakers
  • Claude Code specific (CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR variable, ! dynamic-context syntax) and not reusable as-is on other agents
  • Fully conversational: it will not generate files without back-and-forth with the user
When to use it

Use it when designing a new Claude Code skill or when auditing and improving a skill that already exists.

When not to use it

Avoid it if you are building a plugin or configuration for a tool other than Claude Code, or if you want a skill file generated in a single non-interactive command.

Security analysis

Safe
Quality score82/100

The skill is a pure instructional workflow for authoring and reviewing Claude Code skills. It contains no destructive commands, no network calls, no credential handling, and no obfuscated payloads. The only execution-adjacent element is a brief mention of the `!`-prefixed dynamic context syntax, which is an official (if powerful) Claude Code feature and is presented for documentation purposes rather than as a hidden action. Overall risk is minimal.

Findings
  • •Mentions the `!` + backtick dynamic-context syntax (e.g. `!`git status``) which causes command output to be injected into the skill at load time — a documented Claude Code feature, but users should be aware it embeds shell execution into generated skills.
  • •Instructs the agent to create directories and write SKILL.md files to a user-specified location; benign but does perform filesystem writes.
  • •Depends on `${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/references/guide-summary.md`, which is not included in the provided payload.

Skill Builder

Claude Code

詳細なルールやチェックリストは ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/references/guide-summary.md を参照すること。

Instructions

Step 1:

Step 1a:

Use Case: [
Steps:
Result: [

  • Document & Asset Creation:
  • Workflow Automation:
  • MCP Enhancement: MCP

Step 1b:

  2. SKILL.mdの読み込み: 対象スキルのSKILL.mdを読み込む

  3. ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/references/guide-summary.md

    Frontmatter

    • descriptionにWHAT(何をする)とWHEN(いつ使う)が含まれるか

    Instruction

    • SKILL.mdが5,000語以下か

    your-skill-name/

Step 3: frontmatter生成

YAML frontmatter

  • description: [What it does] + [When to use it] の構造。

Step 4: instruction

    • Good: python scripts/validate.py --input {filename}

  4. progressive disclosure

    • SKILL.mdはコアの指示に集中

${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/references/guide-summary.md

  • [ ] ファイル名が正確に SKILL.md(大文字小文字区別)
  • [ ] YAML frontmatter
  • [ ] descriptionにWHAT(何をする)とWHEN(いつ使う)が含まれる

Performance Notes

From the file to a first result

The download contains exactly the content displayed on this page. This copy may differ from the latest version in the source repository.

View the source and supporting files

This download contains SKILL.md only. Any scripts, references, templates and dependencies are not included. Get the required files from the source, preserving their directory structure, before continuing.

1. Download the file

Download SKILL.md

From the root of a test project, save the file as .skill-downloads/skill-builder-for-claude-code-mrzxuqt0/SKILL.md, or use the command below. This folder is for inspecting the skill before installation.

Command for macOS/Linux or WSL: requires a POSIX shell and curl. On Windows without WSL, use the download button and create the folder manually.

mkdir -p '.skill-downloads/skill-builder-for-claude-code-mrzxuqt0' && curl --fail --show-error --location 'https://skills-guides.com/api/skills/skill-builder-for-claude-code-mrzxuqt0/download' --output '.skill-downloads/skill-builder-for-claude-code-mrzxuqt0/SKILL.md.part' && mv '.skill-downloads/skill-builder-for-claude-code-mrzxuqt0/SKILL.md.part' '.skill-downloads/skill-builder-for-claude-code-mrzxuqt0/SKILL.md'

2. Check prerequisites

Read SKILL.md before using it. If it references scripts or external services, inspect them and prepare the required access in your test environment.

No recognized prerequisites section in this file. This does not mean it is self-contained: libraries, tools and access requirements may be mentioned elsewhere in the content or source repository.

The platforms on this page are catalog indications. The paths below follow tool documentation; they do not prove this skill has been run in those tools. No minimum tool version is confirmed for this listing.

3. Load the skill

After inspection, copy the complete folder into your project using one of the commands below, then open a new tool session. The command stops if a folder with the same name already exists: compare the files before replacing it.

Claude Code
test -f '.skill-downloads/skill-builder-for-claude-code-mrzxuqt0/SKILL.md' && test -s '.skill-downloads/skill-builder-for-claude-code-mrzxuqt0/SKILL.md' && mkdir -p '.claude/skills' && test ! -e '.claude/skills/skill-builder' && cp -R '.skill-downloads/skill-builder-for-claude-code-mrzxuqt0' '.claude/skills/skill-builder'

OpenSkills

OpenSkills must already be installed. The local install/read procedure is checked with OpenSkills 1.5.0, which requires Node.js ≥ 20.6.0. Catalog slugs are not resolved automatically.

Official OpenSkills installation
openskills install './.skill-downloads/skill-builder-for-claude-code-mrzxuqt0'

openskills read 'skill-builder-for-claude-code-mrzxuqt0'

Reading should display the installed file content and its base directory. It does not run the skill or install its dependencies.

For an agent that reads AGENTS.md, then sync the index. This command changes AGENTS.md: review the diff before using it.

openskills sync

Manual method or another tool: attach SKILL.md to a conversation, or open it in an agent that can read files. Include any required supporting resources. No universal folder is recognized by every tool.

4. Try a first task

Use a short, synthetic input: an API endpoint, a small document or an interface brief. In a new conversation, attach the file or give the agent its path, then adapt this request:

Read .skill-downloads/skill-builder-for-claude-code-mrzxuqt0/SKILL.md and apply its instructions to this example: [describe a test input]. Identify any missing files, dependencies or access. Produce the result requested by the skill without inventing data or running unreviewed scripts.

Expected result: output matching the skill instructions, or a precise list of missing prerequisites. A read confirmation alone does not validate a first use. If an external resource is unavailable, that path remains untested.
